The environmental assessment system for southern Quebec applies to projects located in the part of the province that lies south of a boundary passing through the vicinity of Matagami, Lebel-sur-Quévillon, Chibougamau, thence to the east, south of the boundary marking the height of land between the St. Lawrence River and James Bay basins.
